Portable stimulator
This stimulator is designed specifically for the flash
ERG and VEP exams of young infants and patients
confined to bed.
It is made of a matrix of light emitting diodes with
computer programmed light intensity and stimulation
frequency (up to 30 Hz).
It is proposed with white, red and blue sources.
The low weight and reduced dimensions of the
stimulator allows its easy handling and positioning for
the patients.
It is designed to be connected to a MonBaby stimulator, a standard PC and a bio electric amplifier
to obtain a stand-alone system for recording flash ERGs and VEPs
The box contains its own isolation transformer It includes one power outlet that can be used to
power a laptop.
It can also be connected to a standard PC tower with a color monitor but, in that case, it requires
an external isolation transformer
Stimulus specifications
The stimulation head includes a matrix of light sources with dimensions of 100 mm x 200 mm,
covering a visual angle of 60 degrees at a distance of 100 mm and allowing the stimulation of
both eyes simultaneously.
Two different heads are proposed: a white head made of white
LEDs and a color head made of red and blue LEDs.
The white head can generate flashes over a photopic
background of 30 cd.m -2 as well as flicker stimulations at a rate
of 30 Hz.
Options
Stimulator with a white head:
reference HVM-MonBaby-1 color wavelength Stimulus intensity
-2
Stimulator with 2 heads: one white White from 0.01 to 80 cd.s.m
and one blue /.red by steps of 0.5 log units
-2
reference HVM-MonBaby-2 Blue 460 nm up to 3 cd.s.m
Red 635 nm up to 30 cd.s.m
